Was the change worthless?

After a week or more, the bathroom was changing a lot. It looks serene and feminine now. It was not easy to decide the style for the new look, but my inspiration came from some objects that I had.
So, this new bathroom is trying to bring Nature to the room, and some nostalgic and vintage feeling.
It is still a work in progress, but I really think that is better now.
Don't you?

Where to start?

Before moving into our new property we had to rebuild some of the rooms. The question was of course, where to start, what to do first.
The answer came almost immediately, when we visited our new home alone for the first time. This is the moment when you realize that you are responsible for everything there, and you see and find what was hidden to your eyes before. So, the answer was “the master bathroom”.
And the master bath became our priority.
I have to say that this was one of the selling points in the property. Big, spacious, open to the master bedroom; with a huge tub, double sinks, and a walk-in shower, the room had potential. But at the same time was dated, kind of dirty, and desperate for a new floor. Two huge mirrors on the walls, and loud lights over the sinks; very old cabinets, dark wall color, broken tiles, was enough motivation for our decision: a complete remodeling of that room (my bathroom, by the way)

Our House in the States

We have recently bought a townhouse. It is not exactly our dream house, but it has character, good bones, and charm.
This is our first property in the States, and we are dedicating many hours and effort to rebuild it and to decor it. Since February, my husband is working hard to fix, repair, remodel, and refresh every single room in our big townhouse. The experience has been interesting, but also scary sometimes.
I want to start this blog to narrate, and never forget, the process. I want to document the changes, and the day will come maybe, when I will love this house and consider it our real HOME.
